Dr. Karun Karki is an assistant professor, School of Social Work & Human Services, Faculty Associate, South Asian Studies Institute, Faculty Associate, Community Health and Social Innovation, at the University of the Fraser Valley, BC, Canada. Dr. Karki’s scholarly inquiries are grounded in critical theories, including anti-racism, anti-colonialism, intersectionality, and anti-oppressive social justice praxis. In his social work practice, he embraces collaborative and community-based approaches that foreground the values of equity, inclusivity, and social justice for diasporic communities, including immigrants, refugees, LGBTQ+ and ethnic minorities.
